West Barnes Library, next to Motspur Park station, is open five days a week thanks to the many volunteers who assist the staff – and hold the fort on Mondays.

This Friends group works to encourage more people to use the library and promote numerous events. Please help us by becoming a member of the Friends.

DECORATORS – CAN YOU HELP?  The library's redevelopment has been delayed due to continuing uncertainty about Crossrail 2, so the Friends are planning to decorate the children’s section and would be grateful if anyone could give us advice on how best to clean the walls, and what type of paint we should best use.  Please either email the Friends at mail@friendsowbl.org.uk or pop into the library and let us know how we can contact you.

There will be an AUTHORS' TALK on Monday 28 January at 7.30pm.  Rod Reynolds and Amer Anwar will be talking about US Noir vs UK Noir.  So we can gauge the refreshments required, please let us know (via the sign-up sheet at the Library).

Dignity Action Day Coffee Morning Friday 1st February 10-12pm   To mark Dignity Action Day, staff from MASCOT Telecare will be at West Barnes Library. Mascot Telecare provides a range of services helping people to live safely, securely and independently in their own homes. No need to book, join us for a cup of coffee and find out more about their services.
