THE MALDEN V.C.s: local history talk by Julian McCarthy, Archivist of the Maldens & Coombe Heritage Society.  Thursday 18 October, 7.15pm.  Find out more about Cyril Barton, Ian Bazalgette and Humphrey Firman.  (Free; refreshments provided.)

Attic Theatre company will perform a new play, REBELLIOUS WOMEN OF WIMBLEDON,at West Barnes Library on Thursday 25 October from 3.00 pm.   Centring on the remarkable story of Wimbledon resident Rose Lamartine Yates, this new play, by acclaimed playwright Beth Flintoff, is an impassioned, unsentimental and sharp-witted tribute to the Suffragette cause in this centenary year.  (The performance is on a Pay What You Like basis.)
